Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center in Westwood, NJ is hiring a night shift, full-time Post Partum Couplet Care Registered Nurse to support new families and coordinate care.

The RN will supervise care, collaborate with the team, and ensure safety and high-quality patient experiences in a state-of-the-art maternity unit.

Qualifications include NLN/AACN-accredited nursing program, NRP and BLS, NJ RN license, 1–2 years of Mother/Baby or Med-Surg, and AWHONN fetal monitoring training.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an NLN/AACN-accredited program in nursing.
• NRP certification.
• BLS certification obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer.
• RN license NJ Board of Nursing or multistate license from the NCL.
• 1–2 years Mother/Baby and/or Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
• Complete AWHONN Electronic Fetal Monitoring Course within 6 months of hire.
• OB nursing certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• The RN Post-Partum Staff functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population in order to achieve desired outcomes.
• This position directs and oversees the care provided by other caregivers through delegation, validation, evaluation, and coordination.
• This position effectively coordinates patient care/unit activities among nursing peers, physicians and support services.
• The RNStaff Nurse reports to the Nurse Manager.

Job Requirements:

• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient careor the American Red Cross (ARC).
• Registered Nurse (RN) with the New Jersey Board of Nursing or an RN Multistate License from the NCL is required.
• 1-2 years Mother/Baby and/or Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
• Completed basic AWHONN Electronic Fetal Monitoring Course within 6 months of hire.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• OB nursing certification preferred.

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
