Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center in Westwood, NJ is seeking a Night Shift Post Partum Couplet Care Registered Nurse. The role supports a dedicated mother/baby population and coordinates care across nursing peers, physicians, and support services.

Requirements include NLN/AACN-accredited nursing program graduation, NJ RN license or multistate license, NRP, BLS within 14 days of hire, and 1–2 years of Mother/Baby/Medical-Surgical experience, with AWHONN fetal monitoring training

Qualifications

• Graduate of an NLN/AACN-accredited nursing program.
• NRP Certification.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer and prior to direct patient care or ARC.
• RN license with New Jersey Board of Nursing or an RN Multistate License from the NCL.
• 1-2 years Mother/Baby and/or Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
• Completed basic AWHONN Electronic Fetal Monitoring Course within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• The RN Post-Partum Staff functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population to achieve desired outcomes.
• Directs and oversees the care provided by other caregivers through delegation, validation, evaluation, and coordination.
• Effectively coordinates patient care/unit activities among nursing peers, physicians, and support services.
• Reports to the Nurse Manager.

• Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.

Responsibilities:

• The RN Post-Partum Staff functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population in order to achieve desired outcomes.

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an NLN/AACN-accredited program in nursing
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient careor the American Red Cross (ARC).
• Registered Nurse (RN) with the New Jersey Board of Nursing or an RN Multistate License from the NCL is required.
• 1-2 years Mother/Baby and/or Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
• Completed basic AWHONN Electronic Fetal Monitoring Course within 6 months of hire.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• OB nursing certification preferred.

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
