Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is seeking a Post Partum Couplet Care Registered Nurse for night shift in Westwood, NJ. The role focuses on delivering compassionate postpartum care and coordinating care with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an NLN/AACN-accredited nursing program.
• NRP Certification required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer and prior to direct patient care.
• RN license with NJ Board of Nursing or NCL Multistate License.
• 1-2 years Mother/Baby and/or Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
• Completed basic AWHONN Electronic Fetal Monitoring Course within 6 months of hire.
• OB nursing certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide postpartum patient care as part of the Post Partum Couplet Care team.
• Direct and oversee care provided by other caregivers through delegation, validation, evaluation, and coordination.
• Coordinate patient care and unit activities among nursing, physicians, and support services.
• Report to the Nurse Manager.

Education

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification

BLS certification

RN license (NJ Board of Nursing or valid NCL multistate license)

Completed AWHONN Electronic Fetal Monitoring Course

• Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.

Responsibilities:

• The RN Post-Partum Staff functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population in order to achieve desired outcomes.

• Thisposition directs and oversees the care provided by other caregivers through delegation, validation, evaluation, and coordination.

• This position effectively coordinates patient care/unit activities among nursing peers, physicians and support services.

• The RNStaff Nurse reports to the Nurse Manager.

Qualifications:

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an NLN/AACN-accredited program in nursing
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient careor the American Red Cross (ARC).
• Registered Nurse (RN) with the New Jersey Board of Nursing or an RN Multistate License from the NCL is required.
• 1-2 years Mother/Baby and/or Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
• Completed basic AWHONN Electronic Fetal Monitoring Course within 6 months of hire.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• OB nursing certification preferred.

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
