Job summary

Villa Saint Joseph in Darby, PA is seeking an RN to oversee resident care in a retirement setting. You will provide medical treatments as ordered, administer medications, and maintain MARs. The role requires coordination with DON and healthcare professionals to update care plans and respond to emergencies.

Strong emphasis on safety, collaboration, and accurate medication management. PA RN licensure and CPR/AED are required; 18+ years old with long-term care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must possess an RN license in the state of PA.
• Must be over 18 years of age.
• Must have been licensed in the BPOA PA Licensing System.
• CPR/AED certification required.
• Experience in long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the care of residents and all the components of that care.
• Provide medical treatments as ordered.
• Responds to immediate family member concerns regarding resident care.
• Administers medications in a safe and effective manner, responsible for monthly medication administration records.
• Daily and monthly recaps of resident orders.
• Participates in the initial and subsequent updating of care requirements for each resident, including working with DON to determine the level of care.
• Able to collaborate with health care professionals via phone or tele-med.
• Records each medication delivery from Pharmacy during the shift and ensures accuracy.
• Communicates with physicians, and other professional service providers, regarding resident care issues and the scheduling of appointments and transportation.
• Oversee the Nursing Assistants.
• Responds to any immediate need or emergency in the building according to policy and clinical judgement.
• Able to develop and implement care plans and update as needed.
