Registered Nurse (RN) - Sign On Bonus - $1,500

Essential Functions

1. Provides quality nursing care to Guests in an environment that promotes their rights, dignity, and freedom of choice.
2. Provides supervision to C.N.A’s and all subordinate staff, including checking their work to ensure completion.
3. Assigns all C.N.A’s and other staff to Guests, including break times and all regular and special assignments.
4. Administers all parenteral, intramuscular, and subcutaneous injections.
5. Administers medications within the scope of practice of the R.N. Licensure. Maintains a current report of narcotics received and used.
6. Reviews daily documentation of dispensing controlled substances and narcotics. Verifies drugs covered by controlled substances laws through inventory.
7. Places pharmacy orders, administers all newly prescribed medications, and documents accordingly.
8. Performs direct contemporaneous charting during your shift. Charts detailed monthly evaluations of each Guest reflecting their condition and progress.
9. Responsible for all nursing care of assigned Guests while on duty. Notifies appropriate persons of significant changes or hospital transfers.
10. Ensures Guest care plans are followed and assesses each Guest’s status according to their care plan.
11. Rounds with physicians when needed.
12. Administers or supervises all treatments prescribed by physicians, including pressure ulcer care, Foley catheter care, hot and cold therapy, and intravenous therapy.
13. Supervises serving of prescribed diets and fluid intake, reporting issues immediately to the physician and DON/ADON.
14. Supports the care planning process by reporting specific information and observations of the Guest’s needs, preferences, and behavioral changes.
15. Provides wound care when needed.
16. Completes medical records documenting care provided, maintaining confidentiality.
17. Maintains infection control and safety practices at all times.
18. Reports hazardous conditions, damaged equipment, accidents, incidents, and supply issues.
19. Maintains the comfort, privacy, and dignity of Guests, interacting with warmth, respect, and care.

To be eligible for consideration, applicants should have:

Required Education and Experience

Graduate from an accredited nursing program. Valid, unencumbered Registered Nurse (R.N.) License in the state of practice. CPR Certified.
