Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital – Orlando Central, part of Select Medical, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for per diem night shifts. The unit provides critical illness recovery and rehabilitation, with opportunities for flexible scheduling and advancement within a nationwide team.

The role emphasizes admissions, assessments, accurate documentation, interpretation of labs/telemetry, and rapid response readiness. BLS and ACLS are required at hire; valid RN license is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Valid State RN License required.
• BLS certification required at hire.
• ACLS certification required at hire.
• Clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive admissions and transfers to the unit.
• Initial and ongoing systematic patient assessment.
• Timely and accurate documentation using appropriate systems.
• Interpret assessment/diagnostic data including labs and telemetry.
• Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
• Competence in Rapid Response and code events.
• Instruct and counsel patients/families.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Schedule: Per Diem Night ShiftCompensation: $47.00 per hour

Select Specialty Hospital – Orlando Central is a 31-bed free-standing critical illness recovery hospital. We specialize in helping critically ill patients breathe, speak, eat, walk and think as independently as possible. Our hospital also offers medical rehabilitation through Select Medical Rehabilitation, a 32-bed acute rehabilitation unit. The unit is designed to meet an individual’s rehabilitation needs and goals through a range of programs and services. The unit is located within Select Specialty Hospital – Orlando Central
