Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Orlando Central is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a per diem night shift. The position offers an hourly rate of $47.00 with per diem scheduling to fit 4 shifts in a 6-week period, enabling flexible but consistent coverage.

The role focuses on admissions, patient assessment, and accurate documentation within our critical illness recovery setting, with opportunities for advancement and a strong, nationwide team.

Qualifications

• Valid State RN License.
• BLS is required at hire.
• ACLS is required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit.
• Initial and ongoing systematic patient assessment.
• Timely and accurate documentation using appropriate systems.
• Interpret assessment/diagnostic data including labs and telemetry.
• Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
• Competence in Rapid Response and code events.
• Instruct and counsel patients/families.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

We specialize in helping critically ill patients breathe, speak, eat, walk and think as independently as possible. Our hospital also offers medical rehabilitation through Select Medical Rehabilitation, a 32-bed acute rehabilitation unit. The unit is designed to meet an individual’s rehabilitation needs and goals through a range of programs and services. The unit is located within Select Specialty Hospital - Orlando Central
