Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital Harrisburg, part of Select Medical, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for acute care coverage at our Harrisburg location inside UPMC Harrisburg. This PRN/per diem role offers day or night shifts at $50.00 per hour with a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities include admissions, ongoing patient assessments, accurate documentation, and patient education. A valid state RN license plus BLS and ACLS are required; per diem scheduling requires at least 4 shifts

Qualifications

• Valid State RN License is required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit.
• Initial and ongoing systematic patient assessment.
• Timely and accurate documentation using appropriate systems.
• Interpret assessment/diagnostic data including labs and telemetry.
• Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
• Competence in Rapid Response and code events.
• Instruct and counsel patients/families.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
