Job summary

Catholic Health is seeking an Operating Room RN to circulate and scrub in diverse surgical specialties on Long Island, NY. You will collaborate with surgeons, RNs, and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and safety, and provide education and emotional support to patients and families.

Candidates must hold an NYS RN license, an Associate's degree (Bachelor's preferred), BLS, ACLS, and PALS, with 1+ year OR experience. All shifts require on-call coverage to ensure 24-hour OR availability.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse in NY with current license
• BLS required for all RNs; ACLS and PALS for specified perioperative areas
• 1+ years of Operating Room RN experience

Job Details

Our Operating Room (OR) RNs:

• Circulate and scrub into a variety of surgical specialties
• Partner with an interdisciplinary team including, but not limited to surgeons, Registered Nurses (RNs), and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
• Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support and education.

What you’ll bring:

• Associates in Nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing required
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Licensed and currently registered as a professional nurse in New York State
• Certifications: BLS required for all RNs; ACLS required for all Perioperative areas (Ambulatory Surgery, PACU, OR, Endoscopy), ED, S Unit and all critical care areas; PALS required for ED and PACU.
• 1+ Years of Operating Room RN experience

All shifts require on-call coverage to ensure 24 hour coverage in the O.R.

Salary Range

USD $64.41 - USD $64.41 /Hr.
