Job summary

Good Samaritan University Hospital in New York's Long Island region seeks an experienced Operating Room RN to circulate and scrub across a variety of procedures in a high-volume OR.

You will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists and staff to optimize patient outcomes, maintain safety, and deliver compassionate perioperative care. Requirements include 1+ year OR RN experience, BSN or eligible, NY RN license and BLS; CNOR preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Main Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) experience.
• Completion of a Periop 101 course or equivalent perioperative fellowship/residency.
• Education: BSN degree; Associates degree acceptable if enrolled in BSN program.
• Licensure: New York RN license and registration.
• Certification: BLS required; CNOR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Circulate and scrub in a variety of surgeries (general, thoracic, vascular, ortho, plastics, robotics, pediatrics).
• Partner with surgeons, anesthesiologists, RNs and staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
• Advocate for patients through safety interventions and support.

Eligible for $7,500 sign on bonus, half paid at 6 months and the other half paid after one year of employment if experienced.

Job Details

Our Operating Room (OR) RN's:

• Circulate and scrub in a variety of surgeries including general, thoracic, vascular, orthopedic trauma, plastics, robotic, pediatrics, etc.
• Partner with an interdisciplinary team including, but not limited to, surgeons, anesthesiologists, registered nurses (RN), and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
• Advocate for patients through safety intervention and support.

What you'll bring:

• Passion for Perioperative Services
• 1+ years of Main Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) experience
• Completion of a Periop 101 course or equivalent perioperative fellowship/residency
• Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
• Will consider Associates Degree if enrolled in an accredited BSN program
• Licensure: New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) required, CNOR preferred

Salary Range

USD $56.39 - USD $73.66 /Hr.
