Job summary

Emplify Health by Gundersen is hiring a part-time Registered Nurse for our Pediatric Unit and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit in La Crosse, Wisconsin. The role is 0.6 FTE with 12-hour day/night shifts, including every 3rd weekend and holiday.

The unit cares for pediatric patients with acute, chronic, or ICU-level needs within a collaborative team. Starting pay is $38.96/hour with a strong benefits package, including a 401(k) with matching, paid time off, health insurance, wellness programs,

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• Wisconsin RN license to work in WI upon hire; BLS for health care providers.
• 1 year RN experience required; 1 year RN PICU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for pediatric patients with acute or chronic medical conditions.
• Care for PICU patients requiring ICU level of care including traumas and emergencies.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including RNs, physicians, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, and other staff.
• Support a culture with Nursing Shared Governance and continuous quality improvement.

This is your opportunity to provide patient and family centered care in a healing environment while doing the work you love in the beautiful Coulee region of La Crosse, Wisconsin.

What you will do:

• 0.6 FTE (48 hours/every 2 weeks)
• 12-hour shifts, Day/Night rotation, every 3rd weekend and holiday
• Care for pediatric patients with acute or chronic medical conditions & care for pediatric patients requiring ICU level of care provide including traumas, diabetic emergencies, trachs and more
• Work with a multidisciplinary team consisting of highly skilled RNs, Hospitalists, Intensivists, Pharmacists, Respiratory Therapists, Health Unit Coordinators, and other support staff

What you will need:

• Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree
• Nursing RN license to work in Wisconsin upon hire
• BLS for health care providers
• 1 year RN experience required
• 1 year RN PICU experience preferred

Sign on bonus qualifications:

• $5,000 Sign On Bonus: minimum of 1 year recent PICU RN experience
• $2,500 Sign On Bonus: minimum 1 year Pediatric RN experience
• Sign on bonus paid after 6 months of employment at Emplify Health by Gundersen. Must be a new or returning employee to Emplify Health by Gundersen.
