"Our Children's Hospital of New Jersey (CHoNJ) serves pediatric patients exclusively. We understand that children have unique needs when it comes to medical care, requiring more than just clinical intervention. Our patients receive treatment in a calming and compassionate atmosphere in nearly 30 pediatric subspecialties including a full-service Children's Heart Center pediatric cardiac surgery program. Experienced surgical and medical specialists include a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, a Pediatric Emergency Department, and the only Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in New Jersey with an ECMO unit to assist infants in severe respiratory distress. Children's Hospital also offers a Valerie Fund Children's Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders and a specialized pediatric anesthesia and sedation program for children undergoing surgical procedures."

To be considered for this RN opportunity, you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement and a current American Heart Association BLS certification, and PALS certification within 120 days of hire, and APHON certification within 6 months to (1) year of hire. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is strongly preferred, as is prior patient care experience and comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC. Experience is required at a minimum of 1 year. This position offers a per-diem night schedule from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. and (3) three shifts per month: (1) weekend shift, (2) shifts Mon-Fri, (1) Winter Holiday and (1) Summer holiday are required. The schedule during the week will vary depending on department needs, allowing you to build strong patient relationships while maintaining balance.
