Job summary

Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Pediatric Operating Room team. You will deliver and coordinate comprehensive patient care for children undergoing surgery, following established standards and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate will have completed an accredited nursing program, hold an RN license in the state, and possess BLS certification; prior OR experience is strongly preferred to provide safe, high-quality

Our pediatric OR team supports a full range of surgical specialties, including general surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, ENT, plastics, urology, ophthalmology, dental/oral surgery, and robotics. From tiny tonsils to complex trauma and transplants, you‘ll gain unmatched exposure and experience across every specialty, all while working in an environment built on teamwork, compassion, and clinical excellence.

We’re Looking For:

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing

• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices

• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

• Previous Operating Room experience strongly preferred for this position.

What You’ll Do:

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.

• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
