Job summary

Atrium Health's Carolinas Medical Center Pediatric Operating Room in Charlotte, NC seeks a registered nurse to join a multidisciplinary pediatric OR team delivering safe, compassionate care across a range of specialties, from tonsil to complex trauma cases. You will coordinate patient care using the nursing process and evidence-based practice.

The ideal candidate has an accredited nursing program, an active RN license in the state, BLS certification, and OR experience is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Our pediatric OR team supports a full range of surgical specialties, including general surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, ENT, plastics, urology, ophthalmology, dental/oral surgery, and robotics. From tiny tonsils to complex trauma and transplants, you'll gain unmatched exposure and experience across every specialty, all while working in an environment built on teamwork, compassion, and clinical excellence.

We’re Looking For

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Previous Operating Room experience strongly preferred for this position.

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
