Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient’s physiologic health status.
• Conduct patient interviews and explain policies and procedures.
• Determine mobility, sensory deficits, and skin condition.
• Communicate and document patient’s physiologic health status and plan of care.
• Assess patient’s psychosocial health status and identify cultural/ethnic requirements.
• Develop criteria for measurement of patient outcomes and identify potential patient problems.
• Formulate the plan of care and establish priorities to achieve expected outcomes.
• Implement the plan of care and maintain constant vigilance over patient care.
• Administer medications correctly and safely, educating patients on drug interactions.
• Participate in patient and family education and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching.

About This Role

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the PCU (Critical Care Step Down) unit provides comprehensive nursing care for patients using the nursing process. What You'll Do
