Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, Florida is hiring an RN for a full-time night shift. Eligible clinicians can achieve salary increases up to 20% through the Clinical Ladder Program, based on experience, development, and advancement criteria. Schedule: 36 hours, nights 7:00pm–7:00am.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, re-evaluating as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately, monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information and outcomes in the medical record.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• 1+ acute care hospital setting [Preferred]
