Job summary

Norman Regional Health System's Progressive Cardiac Care Unit seeks a skilled registered nurse for night shift in the PCCU, a fast-paced, high-acuity environment caring for cardiac patients undergoing procedures such as CABG, catheterization, pacemaker insertions, and ablations. Education: Diploma/ADN required; BSN/MSN preferred.

Licensure: Oklahoma RN license; BLS required during orientation and maintained. Schedule: 7pm–7am.

Qualifications

• Diploma or ADN required; BSN/MSN preferred.
• Current Oklahoma RN license; BLS certification required during orientation and maintained for duration of employment.

Responsibilities

• Night shift in the Progressive Cardiac Care Unit (PCCU).
• Care for high-acuity cardiac patients pre- and post-procedure.
• Participate in Nurse Residency Program for new grads.

The Progressive Cardiac Care Unit (PCCU) at Norman Regional Health System is a fast paced, critical care environment providing specialized, high-acuity care to patients with cardiac conditions, both pre- and post-procedure. In addition to caring for patients undergoing a wide range of cardiac procedures, including coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), cardiac catheterization, pacemaker and Micra-pacemaker insertions, and cardiac ablation, we also care for patients hospitalized with a variety of cardiac diagnoses.

Job Summary

Education

• Diploma or Associate’s degree (ADN) required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred

Experience

• Previous experience in healthcare field preferred

(Above requirementsan be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience).

Licensure/Certification

• Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license. Basic Life Support (BLS) training or retraining is required during orientation prior to providing patient care
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment
• New grads are required to complete Norman Regional's Nurse Residency Program
