Hemingford Care Center is seeking a weekend Part-Time RN to join our skilled nursing and rehabilitation community in Hemingford, Nebraska. The role focuses on patient-centered care, medication administration, and collaboration with the care team to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds an active Registered Nurse license in Nebraska, has strong English comprehension, and can handle the physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Current active license as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical information in English.
• Full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift/push/pull 50 lbs.
• Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics to perform duties.
• Experience in long term geriatric nursing care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, administer, and document medications, tests, treatments, and IV lines.
• Record time spent performing individual treatments per policy.
• Ensure proper storage and security of drugs and biologicals.
• Notify physician of refusals, non-compliance, or adverse reactions promptly.
• Keep medication cart, fridge, and room neat and compliant with policies.
• Assist in orientation and training of new nursing personnel.
• Practice and supervise infection control and safety policies.

What you'll do:

• Prepare, administer, and document medications, tests, treatments, and IV lines
• Record time spent performing individual treatments, in accordance with ancillary services policy, on the medication/trea tment record
• Ensure proper storage and security of drugs and biologicals in accordance with facility policies and procedures
• Notify the physician of refusal of medication/treatments, non-compliance with a treatment plan, and resi dent response to medication regime with prompt notification to the phys ician of any adverse reactions
• Keeps medication cart, refrigerator, and room neat, clean, and medication stored properly/disposing
• Assist in the orientation and training of new nursing personnel, as required
• Practice, implement, and supervise Infection Control, Universal Precaution, and safety policies and procedures

What we're looking for:
