Job summary

Metropolitan Behavioral Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to support the Adolescent Unit on a part-time Day shift (7 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.). The RN coordinates care, supervises LPNs and MHTs, and strives to deliver safe, age-appropriate psychiatric care for teens.

The role requires an Michigan RN license, a nursing degree, and at least 3 years in a psychiatric setting. Rotating holidays and weekends apply. Competitive benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program.
• RN license issued by the State of Michigan.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and evaluate patient care through collaboration with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and standards of care.
• Oversee and direct LPNs and MHTs on their units to ensure patient safety and needs are met.
• Work part-time day shift and participate in rotating holidays and every other weekend, as applicable.

REGISTERED NURSE (RN) ADOLESCENT UNIT

Part Time Days 7 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Metropoltian Behavioral Health (a UHS Facility) – A growing 144-bed behavioral health facility provides a full continuum of inpatient services across the entire patient population, including specialty programs to serve adolescents, adults, and older adults, and performs behavioral health assessments 24 hours a day. Programs for co-occurring behavioral health and substance use issues also are offered to meet the unique needs of this patient population. The facility also provides a robust outpatient program utilizing group, family, and individual therapy.

Position Summary

RNs coordinate and evaluate patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices. They oversee and direct the LPNs and MHTs on their units to provide for the safety and needs of the patients. A passion to work with teens is ideal.

Qualifications
