Job summary

Sunny Ridge in Nampa, Idaho is seeking a Licensed Registered Nurse for a part-time Weekend Days role. You will administer medications, monitor residents, document treatments, and collaborate with medical staff to ensure high-quality geriatric care.

Qualifications

• Current active license as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment.
• Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical information in English.
• Full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift/pull 50 lbs.
• Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that enable those senses.
• Experience in long term geriatric nursing care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, administer, and document medications, tests, treatments, and IV lines.
• Record time spent performing treatments on the medication/treatment record.
• Ensure proper storage and security of drugs and biologicals per policies.
• Notify physician of refusals, non-compliance, or adverse reactions.
• Keep medication cart, refrigerator, and room neat and properly stored.
• Assist in orientation and training of new nursing personnel.
• Practice and supervise Infection Control, Universal Precautions, and safety policies.

What you'll do:

• Prepare, administer, and document medications, tests, treatments, and IV lines
• Record time spent performing individual treatments, in accordance with ancillary services policy, on the medication/treatment record
• Ensure proper storage and security of drugs and biologicals in accordance with facility policies and procedures
• Notify the physician of refusal of medication/treatments, non-compliance with a treatment plan, and resident response to medication regime with prompt notification to the physician of any adverse reactions
• Keeps medication cart, refrigerator, and room neat, clean, and medication stored properly / disposing
• Assist in the orientation and training of new nursing personnel, as required
• Practice, implement, and supervise Infection Control, Universal Precaution, and safety policies and procedures
