Job summary

Sunny Ridge in Nampa, Idaho is hiring a Part Time Weekend Days Registered Nurse to provide high-quality geriatric care. Responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring patient responses, and maintaining infection control standards within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Current active RN license in the state of employment.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific/technical information in English.
• Stand for long periods and lift/push/pull 50 lbs.
• Experience in long-term geriatric nursing care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, administer, and document medications, tests, treatments, and IV lines.
• Record time spent performing individual treatments in the medication/treatment record.
• Ensure proper storage and security of drugs and biologicals per facility policies.
• Notify physician of refusals, non-compliance, and adverse reactions with prompt updates.
• Keep medication cart, refrigerator, and room neat and properly stored/ disposed.
• Assist in orientation and training of new nursing personnel as required.
• Practice, implement, and supervise Infection Control and safety policies.

What you'll do:

• Prepare, administer, and document medications, tests, treatments, and IV lines
• Record time spent performing individual treatments, in accordance with ancillary services policy, on the medication/treatment record
• Ensure proper storage and security of drugs and biologicals in accordance with facility policies and procedures
• Notify the physician of refusal of medication/treatments, non-compliance with a treatment plan, and resident response to medication regime with prompt notification to the physician of any adverse reactions
• Keeps medication cart, refrigerator, and room neat, clean, and medication stored properly / disposing
• Assist in the orientation and training of new nursing personnel, as required
• Practice, implement, and supervise Infection Control, Universal Precaution, and safety policies and procedures

What we're looking for:

• Current active license as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment
• Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical information in the English language
• Full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients
• Ability to stand off long periods of time as well as lift/push/pull 50lbs
• Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the requirements of this position can be fully met
• Experience in long term geriatric nursing care preferred
