Job summary

Glencoe Regional Health (GRH) is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Med/Surg & TCU team in Glencoe, MN. The role offers flexible shifts with a 0.65 FTE schedule and rotation between day and night hours, supporting patient care on multiple units.

The RN will provide compassionate care, adhere to unit standards, and participate in a trauma training program during orientation. Minnesota licensure, CPR/BLS, and ACLS are required.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program and Minnesota RN license.
  • Current CPR/BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • MS RNs will participate in a 4-hour Trauma training by the end of orientation; trauma policies will be reviewed.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and implement patient care specific to the patient population on assigned units.
  • Ensure quality care is provided safely and efficiently in line with unit standards.
  • Contribute to mission and goals while collaborating with the healthcare team and patients' families.

Position Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a clinical practitioner who coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age and type of patient population served on assigned units. The RN ensures that quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner, consistent with the unit’s standard of care. The RN demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, philosophy and goals of the unit and organization; remains flexible to changing systems; is expected to demonstrate quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practice; and treats patients, families, and all members of the healthcare team with respect and consideration.

Education and Experience:
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and possess a current license as a Registered Nurse from the State of Minnesota.
  • Must have current CPR/BLS and ACLS certification.
Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Possess a knowledge of growth and development; specifically, an understanding of the cognitive, physical, emotional, and chronological maturation process. An understanding of the range of treatments needed by patients of all ages in relation to growth and development processes to include neonate, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
  • Provides patient care with empathy, understanding, patience, tact, and professionalism.
  • Is a supportive team member. Contributes to and is an example of teamwork and team concept.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and organize workload according to patient and department need.
  • Proficient in Windows-based computer software.
  • Actively supports GRH mission, quality improvement goals and adheres to behavioral standards.
  • Must be able to meet facility required physical job requirements.
  • Additionally, after hire:
  • MS RNs will participate in a 4-hour Trauma training, which will be completed by the end of orientation. Trauma training consists of Minnesota Department of health Trauma online modules, as well as review of Glencoe Regional Health trauma policies.
Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation decisions are made based off of several factors including relevant work experience, education, certification and licensure as well as internal equity. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of their hourly range.
