Job summary

Valley View Hospital in Glenwood Springs, Colorado is seeking an experienced RN to join the PACU team for post‑operative care and monitoring. The role emphasizes patient safety, leadership in collaboration with clinical staff, and adherence to ANA standards in a fast-paced recovery unit.

Requirements include RN licensure, two years RN experience, PACU/ICU exposure preferred, and BLS/ACLS; PALS within six months. 32 hours/week with rotating weeknights and weekends; no visa sponsorship provided.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Active RN licensure in the United States.
• Minimum two years RN experience.
• PACU or Critical Care experience preferred.
• Current BLS and ACLS; PALS within six months.
• Schedule requires 32 hours/week with rotating weeknight/weekend call.

We're looking for RNs to join our PACU TEAM!

Recovery room nurse or post-operative nurse is responsible for the care and monitoring of patients after surgery.

1. Plans and coordinates the delivery of quality nursing care for clients utilizing the ANA Standards of Nursing Practice.
2. Provides leadership by working cooperatively with other clinical personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing practice.
3. Supports the philosophy and goals of the individual clinical area.
4. Supports the shared governance vision and nursing obligations of membership which guide the practice of all nurses at Valley View Hospital.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program
• State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Two years RN experience required.
• PACU or Critical Care experience is strongly preferred.
• BLS and ACLS through the American Heart Association with cards in-hand before start date.
• PALS through the American Heart Association within six months.

Schedule

• 32 hours/week. Working 2-10's and 1-12-hour shift with rotating weeknight and weekend call.

Salary Range

• $37.50 to $56.23/hour (BSN)
• $36.76 to $54.06/hour (ADN)
• Evening, Night and Weekend Differentials.
• Entry salary dependent upon education, skill set, and experience.
