Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Lake Norman PACU team in Cornelius, NC. You will provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, ensuring safe, therapeutic care from pre-op to recovery.

You’ll collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and a supportive Perioperative Services team to deliver high-quality care, while pursuing clinical excellence and continuous learning in a modern OR setting.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• RN license issued by the state of practice.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification from the American Heart Association.
• PACU, Critical Care or ED experience required.
• ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care.
• Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and best patient experience across the continuum using evidence-based practice and effective communication.

Become part of the dynamic Perioperative Services team at Atrium Health Lake Norman, where we specialize in providing high-quality surgical care across a wide range of specialties. Our team collaborates closely with skilled surgeons, anesthesiologists, and Advocate Health teammates to deliver safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care. We specialize in general surgery, orthopedics, Urology, and Gynecology. You'll be part of a supportive environment that values teamwork, clinical excellence, and continuous learning. We are committed to ensuring every patient receives the highest standard of care from pre-op to recovery.

We’re Looking For:

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing

• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices

• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Previous PACU, Critical Care or Emergency Department experience required
• ACLS preferred

What You’ll Do:

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
