Job summary

Atrium Health Lake Norman is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) in Cornelius, NC. The role emphasizes compassionate, evidence-based patient care from recovery through immediate post-op follow-up. Training opportunities to expand into Pre-op are available as needed.

The position is part-time with varying shifts; some call may be required. You must hold an accredited nursing program credential, an NC RN license, and BLS; ACLS is preferred and PACU or CCU/ED

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the PACU and coordinate post-anesthesia recovery.
• Assist with preoperative assessments and coordinate cross-training to Pre-op.
• Deliver patient-centered care following standards, policies and procedures.

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Previous PACU, Critical Care or Emergency Department experience required
• ACLS preferred

As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
