Job summary

Texas Health Resources Denton is seeking an RN for the PACU to provide post-anesthesia care in a team-based environment. The role is full-time, days, with required call and a 6:45am–7:15pm schedule.

Candidates must hold a Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (Bachelor's preferred) and have at least 1 year of RN experience or completion of an RN residency. BCLS and ACLS are required, with PALS if inpatient recovery is involved.

Qualifications

• Nursing diploma or associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1 year experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program required.
• 1 year PACU experience or ICU/ED experience preferred.
• RN status required at hire; BCLS prior to independent patient care and quarterly maintenance.
• ACLS required within 90 days; PALS required if working in inpatient recovery (90 days).

Work hours: Full Time (36 Hour), Day Shift 6:45am – 7:15pm, Call is required

Here’s What You Need

• Nursing Diploma Nursing required OR


• Associate's Degree Nursing required OR


• Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred


• 1 year experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program required


• 1 year previous PACU experience or Critical Care experience (ICU or ED) preferred


• RN - Registered Nurse upon hire required AND


• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required AND


• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 days required AND


• PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support if working in inpatient recovery 90 days required
