Job summary

Hillcrest HealthCare System in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Day Shift, PRN Recovery Room (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This role focuses on delivering high-quality post-anesthesia care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Required: ADN, active Oklahoma RN license, and BLS within 14 days of hire. Preferred: BSN and two years of RN hospital experience. You will provide age-appropriate, evidence-based care aligned with HHS standards.

Qualifications

• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire.
• Associate's degree in nursing (ADN) required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document care per HHS standards to ensure quality patient care.
• Provide age-appropriate care to patients on the assigned PACU unit.
• Demonstrate growth and development knowledge across the life span.
• Develop and modify the plan of care in accordance with Patient Care policies.
• Comply with Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act rules and regulations.

• Hillcrest Medical Center is a 656-bed hospital that includes The Alexander Burn Center, The Peggy V. Helmerich Women’s Health Center, Kaiser Rehabilitation Center, the latest technology for the treatment of cancer, and the Oklahoma Heart Institute.
• Accountable for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and documenting care activities in accordance with HHS standards in order to deliver efficient, effective and quality patient care.
• Be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span, possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status, interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs.
• Plan for the provision of patient care including the development, modification and implementation of the plan of care in accordance with HHS standards in order to deliver efficient, effective and quality patient care as described in the Patient Care policies and procedures.
• Expected to adhere to and abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act.

Job Requirements:

• Associate's degree in nursing (ADN)
• Current OK RN License
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Two (2) years’ experience as an RN in a hospital setting
