Job summary

Westover Hills Baptist Hospital, part of the Baptist Health System, seeks a Registered Nurse dedicated to compassionate patient care. Under minimal supervision, you will provide professional nursing care and support our mission with adherence to established standards and ongoing development opportunities.

Minimum education is a nursing degree with TX licensure or eligibility; CPR (BLS) is required, with ACLS and PALS to be obtained within specified timeframes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Texas State RN license or eligibility for state board certification.
• BLS required for all areas.
• ACLS required for Surgery Services within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• PALS required for Post Anesthesia within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• CNOR/CPAN/SGNA board eligibility/certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care under minimal supervision.
• Support Baptist Health System mission, policies, and procedures.
• Complete established competencies within designated introductory period.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Under minimal supervision, provides professional nursing care for patients ranging in age from ne competencies following established standards and practices. Supports the mission statement, policies and procedures of the Baptist Health System. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of accredited school of nursing

PREFERRED EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: None

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Completion of peri-anesthesia or critical care internship/training course

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Possession of current Texas State License for Registered Nurse or currently eligible for state board certification.

PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE:

• Surgery - CNOR Board eligible/certified
• Post Anesthesia-CPAN Board eligible/certified
• GI Lab SGNA Board eligible/certified

REQUIRED COURSES/COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR):

• BLS - required for all areas-Obtained through approved American Heart Association Training or the Military Training Network
• ACLS required for all areas in Surgery Services and must obtain within 6 months of date of hire or transfer into unit
• PALS- required for Post Anesthesia and must obtain within 6 months of date of hire or transfer into unit
