Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our full-time team. You will assess patients, develop care plans, administer medications, and educate families while collaborating with the care team.

Qualifications

• RN with active license and BLS certification.
• 1+ year of acute care hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized care plans and evaluate progress.
• Administer medications and monitor for adverse reactions.

Job Description

Clinical Ladder participation is voluntary. Salary adjustments are determined by program eligibility, advancement level, and organizational guidelines. Up to $15,000 Sign-on Bonus and $3,000 Relocation Assistance available to eligible candidates (see terms below)

12-month Full-time Employment Contract Required for Sign-On and Relocation

• Sign-on Eligibility: · One (1) year of applicable experience · Internal Candidates and Rehires within 12 months are not eligible
• Relocation Eligibility: · Must live 50 miles outside of campus address · Rehires that are less than 12 months from separation date are not eligible

Schedule

Full time, 40 hours Shift: Days, 8:00am to 4:30pm

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
• Ability to work as a Team player within a unit
• Effective verbal and oral communication and problem-solving skills
• EKG competency
• Must be fluent in English (read, verbal and written skills)
• Basic computer skills – must be able to navigate Microsoft windows based programs
• Must be able to use a high level of abstract reasoning to assess patient, evaluate interventions, and revise plan of care according to patient outcomes

Education

• Associate's of Nursing [Required]
• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

Work Experience

• 1+ acute care hospital setting [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

Pay Range

Pay Range: $31.85 - $52.76
