AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is hiring an experienced Registered Nurse to join our acute care team. This full-time role offers a Clinical Ladder opportunity and day-one benefits, with a schedule of 36 hours across day shifts.

You will assess patients, develop care plans, administer medications, educate families, and document care accurately. RN license and BLS are required; Associate's degree in Nursing is required, Bachelor's preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing is required.

• 1+ year of acute care hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and regularly revise them based on outcomes.
• Administer medications and treatments safely, monitoring for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care and ensure effective communication.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient information and care activities in the medical record.

Job Description

Clinical Ladder participation is voluntary. Salary adjustments are determined by program eligibility, advancement level, and organizational guidelines. Schedule: Full time, 36 hours Shift: Days, 7:00am to 7:00pm

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
