Job summary

Tenet is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care across the lifespan in a hospital setting. Under minimal supervision, you will support patient care aligned with established standards, policies, and procedures. The role includes completing competencies during the introductory period and performing other duties as assigned.

Requires a Texas RN license, BLS on hire, and ACLS/PALS within 60 days. BSN is preferred; CNOR/CPAN/SGNA are optional certifications.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Texas RN license or eligibility for state board certification.
• BLS active at hire; ACLS and PALS within 60 days.
• Preferred BSN; CNOR/CPAN/SGNA board eligibility/certification.

Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus.

Under minimal supervision, provides professional nursing care for patients ranging in age from newborn to geriatric, within the nurse’s competencies following established standards and practices. Supports the mission statement, policies and procedures of the Baptist Health System. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of accredited school of nursing

PREFERRED EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: None

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Completion of peri-anesthesia or critical care internship/training course

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Possession of current Texas State License for Registered Nurse or currently eligible for state board certification.

PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE:

• Surgery - CNOR Board eligible/certified
• Post Anesthesia-CPAN Board eligible/certified
• GI Lab –SGNA Board eligible/certified

REQUIRED COURSES/COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR):

• BLS - Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
• AHA ACLS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role for all Surgical Services areas.
• AHA PALS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role for Post Anesthesia Care Unit for licensed staff that care for Pedi.

This includes the following facilities: North Central Baptist, St. Luke's Baptist, Westover Hills Baptist and Resolute Baptist Hospital.
