Job summary

Ardent in Montclair, NJ is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Post Anesthesia Care Unit on a variable-shift PRN basis. The role focuses on caring for post-operative patients during recovery from anesthesia, including general, regional, and local anesthesia.

Ideal candidates hold an Associate’s Degree in Nursing with 1+ year experience in PACU or Critical Care, NJ RN license, and BLS; ACLS/PALS certifications are expected within defined timelines. Epic experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Nursing.
• 1+ year’s experience as an RN in a hospital PACU or Critical Care Unit.
• Current valid NJ State professional Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• ACLS (obtainable within the first three months of employment)
• PALS (obtainable within the first three months of employment)
• Successful completion of a Basic Arrhythmia Training.
• Ability to initiate IV therapy, blood specimen collection, point of care testing, perform EKG, phlebotomy (skills obtainable within the first three months of employment)
• Ability to manage a patient’s airway, including the use of mechanical ventilation.
• Demonstrate knowledge of current computer systems, equipment, or programs used in the organization.

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
