Job summary

Willamette Valley Medical Center in McMinnville, OR, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the PACU. This PRN/on-call role provides direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process to meet the needs of patients and families, and to support the care team with timely assessments.

You will work 10-hour shifts (08:00–18:30) and contribute by applying specialized plans of care while utilizing our technology to promote safe, efficient patient journeys through recovery.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license.
• Bachelor's or associate degree from an accredited nursing school.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications.
• 2–3 years of PACU experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to the health care team.
• Support care planning and patient/family education.
• Adhere to shift-specific plan-of-care and documentation.

Department/Unit Summary

The Recovery/PACU RN provides direct and indirect patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Meets the physical, psychosocial, religious/cultural and needs of the patient and family. Communicates effectively with all members of the health care team as appropriate about changes in the patient's condition or response to treatment.

• 10 Hour Shifts 0800-1830

Qualifications and requirements

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a bachelor's degree or associate degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Two (2) to Three (3) years of PACU experience required
