Seton Medical Center Harker Heights in Harker Heights, TX, is seeking a day shift, full-time Recovery (PACU) Registered Nurse to join our compassionate team. You will perform PACU assessments, document actions, and collaborate with departments to ensure seamless patient care.

The role requires Texas RN licensure, a current multi-state license via the NLC, and active BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, with at least one year in a PACU setting and a commitment to patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Texas Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) is required.

• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• 1+ year of PACU hospital experience.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

• Seton Medical Center Harker Heights is an 83-bed acute care hospital offering services such as Cardiology, Emergency Services and a Level IV Trauma Designated ER, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Total Joint Replacement, Gastroenterology, Diagnostic Services and more.

Responsibilities

• The nurse is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to identify patient needs for continuous assessment in the PACU .
• The nurse will document and evaluate the effectiveness of nursing actions and ensure a safe environment of care.
• The PACU nurse is responsible and accountable for working with other departments to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Completion of education to obtain Texas Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• RN with Texas Board of Nursing – OR – current home state license is required for multi-state license recognition through the Nurse Licensure Compact .
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Active ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification through AHA is required upon hire.
• Active PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification is required upon hire.
• 1+ years of experience in a PACU hospital setting.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Experience with patient safety best practices
