Job summary

Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, IL, seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for PACU coverage. This full-time role supports PACU, Same Day Surgery, and Pre-Operative Services with a 4-10 shift pattern and rotating start times from 6:00 to 9:00 a.m., with on-call involvement.

The ideal candidate has an accredited nursing program, an Illinois RN license, BLS (AHA) and ACLS with PALS within 3 months, and at least 2 years in PACU or ICU.

Qualifications

• Illinois RN license.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers (AHA) and ACLS; PALS within 3 months.
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience in PACU or ICU.

Where You Will Work

Responsible for providing post-surgical recovery to patients. This position covers staffing as needed for PACU, Same Day Surgery, and Pre Operative Services.

We're Looking For

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state of Illinois
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association and ACLS. PALS to be obtained within 3 months of hire
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience PACU or ICU

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
