Job summary

Iredell Health System is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in Statesville, NC. The role focuses on coordinating care, delegating nursing activities, and delivering high-quality patient care in alignment with our mission and nursing philosophy.

Schedule: 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, 32 hours per week. The ideal candidate holds NC RN licensure, completes unit-specific orientation, and demonstrates expertise in venous access, sedation support, and ACLS/BCLS certification.

Qualifications

• Active NC Registered Nurse license.
• Hospital orientation including preoperative patient care and anesthesia support.
• Ability to perform peripheral venous access.
• Competent to administer Moderate Sedation and assist with Deep Sedation.
• ACLS and BCLS certifications required per unit-based requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prescribes nursing care and delegates nursing activities.
• Coordinates assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care.
• Maintains full access to and use of patient health information.
• Adheres to shift schedule: 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM (32 hours per week).

The Registered Nurse prescribes nursing care, delegates nursing activities, and coordinates the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care to provide optimal quality care, consistent with the health care system’s mission and nursing philosophy, objectives, and standards. Has full access to patient health information.

Schedule: 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM (32 hours per week)

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse Licensure in North Carolina.
• Successful completion of hospital and Holding Room orientation which includes age and population specific skills required for continuity of care of preoperative patients and/or patients requiring interventions provided by the Department of Anesthesia.
• Skilled in peripheral venous access
• Competent to administer Moderate Sedation and assist with Deep Sedation
• Certification in BCLS and ACLS by American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
• Certifications per unit-based requirement.

Essential Physical Requirements

• Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching and sitting for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
