Ankle & Foot Centers of America is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to support surgical suites and an Office-Based Lab. The role involves pre-op, procedural recovery, and patient discharge across Newnan, Marietta, and Jonesboro locations.

Qualified candidates hold a Georgia RN license, BLS/ACLS, and have 1+ year in Pre-Op/PACU or ambulatory surgery. OBL coverage and vascular workflows are noted as a plus. Day shifts, no nights, with a competitive hourly range.

Description

Employment Type: Full-Time (Preferred) / Part-Time considered

Shift: Day shift, early morning starts (typically between 6:00 AM and 7:00 AM), 6 to 8-hour shifts. No nights, no weekends, no major holidays.

Compensation: $35.00 - $55.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced, dependable Registered Nurse (RN) to support our surgical suites and Office-Based Lab (OBL). Podiatry is our primary clinical specialty, with intermittent coverage required for lower extremity peripheral vascular procedures. This position rotates across our surgical locations in Newnan, Marietta, and Jonesboro to manage pre-operative preparation, procedural recovery, and patient discharge.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete patient pre-op workups, confirm surgical documentation and consents, and establish peripheral IV access.
• Provide primary pre- and post-operative surgical nursing care for outpatient podiatric cases.
• Manage pre-op preparation and Phase I/II recovery care on an intermittent basis for lower extremity vascular procedures at our Jonesboro OBL suite.
• Monitor patients receiving conscious or moderate sedation during procedural cases alongside attending physicians.
• Deliver direct Phase I and Phase II PACU recovery care, monitor vital signs, and provide comprehensive discharge education.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records, medication administration logs, and narcotic reconciliation per regulatory standards.
• Ensure early-morning operational readiness of surgical suites, clinical equipment, and procedural supplies.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, surgical techs, and administrative staff to ensure efficient room turnovers and case flow.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered Georgia RN License.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Pre-Op, PACU, Ambulatory Surgery, or procedural sedation. Outpatient podiatric surgery experience preferred; familiarity with lower extremity vascular workflows is a plus.
• Strong, demonstrated competence in peripheral IV placement and patient recovery monitoring.
• High reliability and commitment to prompt early morning start times (as early as 6:00 AM).
• Reliable transportation and ability to work on-site across Newnan, Marietta, and Jonesboro locations based on the procedural schedule.
