Registered Nurse (RN) - Outpatient Clinic

A healthcare network in New York City is looking to add a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to their growing Internal Medicine team in Brooklyn.

About the Opportunity:

• Start: ASAP
• Setting: Clinic
• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Hours: 8am to 5pm or 6pm

Responsibilities:

• Provide general nursing care to patients, including administering prescribed medications and treatments.
• Assist with applicant screening, selection, training, performance feedback, and staff discipline and termination processes.
• Prepare equipment and assist the Physician during treatment, examination, and testing of patients.
• Prepare prescriptions or medication refills for review and signature by the provider.
• Contact patients with test results and provide recommendations based on Physician determination and standards of care.
• Facilitate clinical messaging and educate patients on chronic condition management.
• Triage urgent same-day or double-booked appointment requests.
• Document progress notes in the electronic health record within 24 hours.
• Manage in-basket requests and respond promptly.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of related nursing experience.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
