Job summary

Lincoln Surgical Hospital in Lincoln, NE is seeking exceptional Registered Nurses to join our Outpatient Services Unit. Enjoy a Monday–Friday, 60-hour pay period schedule with three 10-hour shifts, no weekends or holidays, and stability in shift times discussed at interview.

As an Outpatient RN, you will provide skilled pre-operative and post-operative nursing care, perform admissions and assessments, monitor recovery, manage pain, and lead discharge teaching for home readiness.

Qualifications

• Active Nebraska RN License (or compact state license with Nebraska residency declared within 30 days).
• BLS required; ACLS and PALS within 90 days of hire.
• Previous PACU or recovery care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Operative Excellence: Perform admissions, comprehensive assessments, and prepare patients mentally and physically for surgery.
• Recovery & Transition: Receive patients from surgery, monitor post-anesthesia recovery, and manage pain and stabilization.
• Critical Surveillance: Proactively identify and respond to potential medical or surgical complications.
• Patient Advocacy: Lead discharge teaching to ensure patients and families are confident in their recovery at home.
