Job summary

Nebraska Orthopaedic Surgery Center in Lincoln, NE 68510 seeks a dedicated PACU nurse to lead coordination of pre- and post-operative patient care and provide specialized post-anesthesia nursing care. You will work four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday, with no weekends or holidays.

Requires Nebraska RN license, CPR/BLS at hire and ACLS/PALS within 90 days; PACU experience preferred and ASPAN certification desirable.

Job Details: Job Location: NOC Surgery Center - Lincoln, NE 68510, Join a dedicated team of professionals at Nebraska Orthopaedic Surgery Center, where we provide high-quality, patient-centered surgical care.

The Role

In this vital role, you will lead the coordination of pre- and post-operative patient care. You will provide specialized post-anesthesia nursing care (PACU), ensuring the highest standards of safety and comfort for patients as they recover from anesthesia. We are looking for a teammate who balances technical precision with a high standard of customer service.

Schedule

• Hours: Full-time (80 hours per two-week pay period)
• Shift: Four 10-hour shifts, Monday – Thursday (No weekends or holidays!)

What You’ll Do

• Clinical Excellence: Assess, plan, and evaluate individualized care for surgical patients using established standards.
• Patient Advocacy: Act as a primary advocate for patient safety and comfort throughout the perioperative process.
• Team Collaboration: Work seamlessly with physicians and staff to maintain a culture of kindness and accountability.

Requirements

• Licensure: Current State of Nebraska RN license.
• Certifications: CPR/BLS required at hire; ACLS and PALS required within 90 days.
• Experience: Previous PACU experience is preferred.
• Credentials: ASPAN certification is highly desirable.
