Job summary

Resurrection Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Orthopedic Neurology and Spine unit in Chicago, IL. This night shift position involves 12-hour shifts from 7:00pm to 7:30am, with a sign-on bonus available for qualified candidates.

The role requires a valid RN license, BLS, ACLS preferred, and previous acute care experience; BSN preferred. The center offers a comprehensive benefits package and a Total Rewards program to support staff growth and well-being.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Communicate with physician about changes in patient condition, including monitoring and diagnostic results.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care within the Medical/Surgical Unit. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients. He / She communicates with physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Current and valid state RN License.

2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.

3. Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.

4. Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.

5. Ventilator Management experience preferred.

6. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $35.35 to $53.58. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
