Job summary

Spectrum Healthcare Resources is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (Orthopedics) to join Naval Medical Center Portsmouth in Virginia. The position features a Monday–Friday schedule with no nights or weekends, providing a strong work–life balance and access to comprehensive federal benefits.

Responsibilities include a full range of RN duties: triage, patient assessment, monitoring, and education, with emphasis on orthopedics.

Qualifications

• BSN required and NLNAC or CCNE accreditation.
• Active RN license in good standing and unrestricted.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience in an orthopedic setting.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform full range of RN duties under task order, including triage and patient monitoring.
• Provide appropriate nursing care, follow physician orders, and document patient care.
• Educate and support patients and families.

Position Responsibilities Includes, But Not Limited To

• Perform a full range of RN duties in accordance with assignment under the task order, including triage; patient assessment and monitoring; use of patient monitoring and treatment equipment; appropriate nursing care, procedures, and treatments; execution of physicians’ orders within the guidelines of standard nursing practice; documentation of patient care and observations; and patient education and emotional support

Position Requirements

• Degree: Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Education: Graduate from a college or university accredited by National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC), or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
• Graduate of a state-accredited professional nursing program
• Active RN license....Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse
• Possess a minimum experience of one (1) year within the last two (2) years as an RN working in a orthopedic setting
• Active BLS certification and ACLS
• U. S Citizen
