Job summary

Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, ID is seeking a night shift, full-time Registered Nurse for the Orthopedic Unit to provide high-quality nursing care. This role requires graduate nursing education, Idaho RN licensure, and BLS/ACLS certifications with at least one year of acute care experience.

You will deliver care via the nursing process, respond to emergencies, and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team across the unit to ensure patient safety and positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN licensure in Idaho.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
• ACLS certification within one year of hire.
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, evaluating and communicating with providers.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse utilizes the knowledge basis of nursing education and experience in order to deliver nursing care using the nursing process according to hospital policies, procedures and protocols. The RN responds to life threatening situations with appropriate nursing interventions. The RN organizes care delivery by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, evaluating and communicating with all necessary Providers/Leaders on an ongoing basis.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current RN licensure in the state of Idaho.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Obtain ACLS within one year of hire date and maintain as current.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 1-year acute care
