Job summary

Temecula Valley Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (Medical/Surgical) to provide compassionate nursing care for adult and geriatric patients. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, ensuring adherence to high standards of nursing practice and patient safety.

Reporting to the Nursing Director, you will educate patients and families, collaborate with the care team, and support positive patient outcomes in a busy acute-care setting.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with California RN license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Completion of Basic EKG interpretation class upon hire.
• One year medical/surgical experience in an acute care facility.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, plan, intervene and evaluate adult and geriatric patients.
• Counsel and educate patients and families.

Registered Nurse Medical Surgical

Reporting to the Director of Medical/Surgical/Telemetry and/or designated supervisors and charge nurses, responsibilities include assessments, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation and documentation of adult and geriatric patients. Additional accountabilities include counseling and education for patients and families. Overall responsibility is for the nursing care of patients and for maintaining standards of nursing practice and optimal outcomes, including the supervision of all categories of nursing personnel.

Essential Job Duties

Care provider must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patient’s age group. Care provider must demonstrate knowledge of principles of growth and development over the life span; must be able to assess and interpret data about the patient’s status in order to identify each patient’s age specific needs and provide the care needed by that patient population.
