Job summary

Temecula Valley Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the ACU Cardiac Cath Lab to support cardiovascular procedures. The role requires two years of experience in an acute care setting and an active California RN license, with BSN preferred.

BLS and ACLS are required. Reporting to the Director of Cardiac Services, you will assess patients, participate in discharge planning, and monitor protocols for diagnostic testing and procedures.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in an operating room, telemetry unit, or critical care unit in an acute care facility.
• Completion of an accredited Registered Nursing Program.
• Current California RN license; BSN preferred.
• BLS and ACLS current with American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial assessment appropriate to the patient’s scheduled procedure, clinical presentation/diagnosis, care setting, age development level, cultural and religious orientation in a timely manner.
• Initiates discharge planning for each patient upon admission as appropriate.
• Identifies need for further assessment based on the patient’s clinical presentation/diagnosis and tolerance of diagnostic testing/scheduled procedure.

Qualifications

Two (2) years’ experience in an operating room, on a telemetry unit, or critical care unit in an acute care facility required

Completion of an accredited Registered Nursing Program

Current California RN license (maintain current), BSN preferred
