LCMC Health in Louisiana seeks a skilled surgical nurse to join the operating room team. You will prepare patients for surgery, review history, assist with care, and ensure accurate documentation.
You will collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists, monitor patients, manage postop needs, and educate families. A Louisiana nursing license and BLS are required; OR experience is preferred. Day shift at West Jefferson Medical Center.

Prepare your patient for surgery, review patient history, and provide patient care and support including supplies needed, medicine administration, patient positioning, vitalsignsmonitoring, and health assessments.
Perform required clinical documentation and post-operative assessments.
Monitor your patient after surgery for pain and/or complications and the surgery site for healing or infection following Joint Commission infection control and environment of care requirements.
Performs CPR or other emergency measures if required.
Collaborate toidentifyand meet the overall needs of patient care or when unable to complete assignments or perform tasks promptly, effectively, or safely.
Maintain andadvocatea safe environment for everyone.
Ensure continuity of care, efficient throughput, consistent communications, and an exceptional experience for every patient.
Initiate patient and family education on the operation and post-operationcare asrequired.
Current nursing license to practice in Louisiana and as defined by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing.
Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
