Position Description

The OR Nurse functions as Circulator/Scrub Nurse in the Operating Room, providing individualized, professional patient care. The Ambulatory OR cares for same-day surgery patients with complex medical conditions across various service lines including colorectal, ENT, general surgery, gynecology, urology, pediatric, and more. The role involves patient teaching, participating in quality improvement, and adhering to hospital and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Current active CT RN License
• Previous OR experience required; Graduate Nurses may apply to the Transition to Practice Program
• BSN preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at hire
• CNOR certification preferred
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
