Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center in Westwood, NJ is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse for an evening PRN role. You will provide direct and indirect patient care in the surgical setting and may qualify for a sign-on bonus up to $20,000.

The ideal candidate has RN licensure in New Jersey, ACLS/BLS, and at least two years of OR experience; CNOR and BSN are preferred. You will collaborate with the surgical team to plan, execute, and evaluate care across

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Must have RN NJ license; current state Registered Nurse license.
• Evidence of continuing education in OR nursing.
• 2 years minimum OR experience.
• ACLS and BLS certifications; PALS preferred.
• BSN and CNOR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, direct and evaluate direct and indirect nursing care for surgical patients from preoperative to postoperative.
• Ensure continuity of care through the surgical experience using the nursing process.

Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.

Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for the planning, executing, directing and evaluating direct and indirect nursing care given to the surgical Patient.This nursing care ranges from preoperative intervention to postoperative evaluation.It is a practice designed to meet a patient’s needs through the nursing process, ensuring continuity of care during the surgical experience.

Job Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursingMust have RN NJ LicenseCurrent state Registered Nurse licenseCurrently licensed to practice professional nursing in the State of New Jersey and must be familiar with the Basic Nursing Performance Standards as Outlined in the New Jersey Nurse Practice Act.Evidence of continuing education in the field of OR nursing2 years minimum as OR experience.Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.Pediatric advanced life support (PALS)Preferred Job Requirements:BSNCNORCertification in specialtyRate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
