Job summary

Tenet is seeking an Operating Room RN to deliver safe, compassionate perioperative care across pre-op, intraoperative, and post-op phases. The role emphasizes patient-centered decisions, teamwork, and adherence to safety standards in a fast-paced surgical setting.

Applicants should have at least 2 years of OR experience, a Bachelor’s in Nursing, an active RN license, and BLS/ACLS certifications. This on-site position supports the Tenet mission of care and patient advocacy.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of OR experience in acute care.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform continuous assessment and develop individualized perioperative care plans.
• Prevent surgical errors by adhering to safety protocols, including site verification and accurate surgical counts.
• Administer medications and manage specimens in accordance with policies.
• Maintain critical system functions (cardiac, respiratory, neurological) and ensure patient safety during procedures.
• Promote patient education, engagement, and emotional support before and after surgery.
• Ensure patient dignity, privacy, and culturally competent care.
• Accurately document all care activities and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team.
• Participate in ongoing performance improvement initiatives.
• Uphold organizational values and serve as a patient advocate.
