Job summary

University Hospitals in Beachwood, OH, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the OR. Shifts are 4 x 10s or 5 x 8s depending on department needs, with orientation in rotating 6:30am-3:00pm. Call and late shifts are required weekly; weekends/holidays are not for call.

Plays a key role in providing age-specific nursing care using the nursing process. Requires RN license in Ohio (or compact), BLS; ACLS/PALS may be unit-based.

Qualifications

Knowledge of nursing process and practice.
Ability to operate common clinical equipment (stethoscope, thermometer, sphygmomanometer, monitors).

Registered Nurse (RN)- OR - ( 26000A4F )

4 -10 hour 6am-4:30pm or 5 - 8' hour shift 6:30am-3:00pm, depending on the department needs.

Orientation will be 5 days a week 6:30am-3:00pm.

Call and lates are a requirement, 1 late shift a week and 1 call a week. No weekend or Holiday call.

Very face paced environment.

A Brief Overview

Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.

Other Accredited Program: Diploma in Nursing or
(ADN) Associate's Degree in Nursing (Required)

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Knowledge of nursing process and practice. (Required proficiency)
Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies (ie. stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices. (Required proficiency)

Licenses and Certifications

Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License (Required Upon Hire) and
Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required Upon Hire)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) May be required based on the clinical care standards of the unit. Refer to ACLS/PALS Unit Requirements document found on DWP Nursing Portal to determine requirements by unit.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) May be required based on the clinical care standards of the unit. Refer to ACLS/PALS Unit Requirements document found on DWP Nursing Portal to determine requirements by unit.
